The Best Connection Portsmouth is recruiting on behalf of a client based in Havant for a HGV Class 2 Refuse Driver. The role involves working as part of a team to collect commercial and domestic waste rounds in the Havant/Waterlooville areas.
Responsibilities:
- Operate HGV Class 2 Refuse vehicles safely and efficiently
- Collect waste from residential homes in domestic waste route
- Carry out daily vehicle checks and report any defects promptly
- Complete all relevant paperwork and digital records accurately (e.g. delivery notes)
- Communicate effectively with customers, office staff, and site personnel
- Provide excellent customer service when interacting with clients
- Keep vehicle clean and presentable
Qualifications:
- HGV Class 2 C Licence
- CPC
- Experience with previous refuse work is preferred but not essential; training is provided
Hours and Pay:
- Pay Rates: £15.75 per hour, £23.63 overtime and weekends
- Hours of work: Monday to Friday – weekend overtime available
- 06:30 starts each day
- 37 hours per week
