The Best Connection has been instructed on an exciting opportunity for an experienced Sales Assistant to join our client’s team at their successful site in Grantham, Lincolnshire. This is a full-time, customer-facing role where you will work directly with a large and diverse customer base in a retail environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with walk-in enquiries on a regular basis.
  • Answer, field and resolve customer queries over the phone and socials.
  • Regularly market/advertise new and existing products online through social media channels.
  • Ensure that customers feel welcome and have an excellent customer experience through any communication channel.
  • Handle transactions which may be Cash or Card payments.
  • Work closely with team members to ensure a smooth daily running of the shop.
  • Creating and organising jewellery window displays in store.

Candidate Requirements

  • Have previous experience within a customer-facing role is desirable; however, previous experience within a customer service role within telecommunications as a minimum is essential.
  • Have an active interest in jewellery personally or previous job roles (skills to value jewellery will be taught).
  • Ability to converse with a diverse customer base seamlessly.
  • Be technology literate and have experience using social media (personal or business).
  • Show confidence and accuracy with cash handling.
  • Show the ability to integrate into a small team environment but also be able to make independent decisions when required.

Full-time, permanent contract from day one. Regular staff incentives. Company commission incentives based on performance. Competitive starting salary with salary reviews based on performance. Progression within the business when available. New skill sets training on how to value and authenticate jewellery. Salary banding (£28,000+) based on experience. 5/7 Days worked a week with weekends being required to work on rotation. 08:30-17:30 on a working day. Due to the nature of the business, Bank Holidays not worked.
