The Best Connection are currently recruiting for a Warehouse Supervisor on behalf of one of our well-known Clients in the Crewe area. Our client is a UK wide company specialising in the storage, distribution and management of packaging solutions for many lead retailers.

Daily duties will include:

  • To support the Depot Manager in meeting/exceed KPI targets.
  • Responsible for applying the BRCGS requirements through the understanding of the Standard Operating Procedures, SSOW, prescribed templates and checklists.
  • As the HACCP Leader, ensure that all aspects of product quality, safety, security and legality are maintained within the operation through the prerequisite programs and resulting control points and critical control points identified through the HACCP study.
  • To develop excellent relationships with customers, 3rd Party, and the supply chain.
  • To work with the Equipment Control Team to ensure that Asset Management protocols and procedures are accurately administered and maintained.
  • To ensure that Depot function effectively supports the implementation of HSE, Hygiene and HR policies/procedures.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Have a confident and professional approach.
  • Be a conscientious and highly motivated self-starter with ‘can do’ attitude and ability to prioritise.
  • Have a natural ability to inspire, lead and develop employees.
  • Have previous work experience working as a Supervisor in a fast paced environment.
  • Be able to produce root Cause Analysis with the ability to understand and complete a Risk Assessment and create an SSOW.
  • Have effective communication skills – oral and written.
  • Inspire, influence, lead and develop the team to engage and deliver.
  • Be able to work closely with other business functions particularly Equipment Control, HSHE and HR.
  • Be able to develop excellent relationships with suppliers, 3rd Party and transport.
  • Be able to deliver team briefings effectively and confidently.
  • Ensure the Depot function effectively supports the implementation of HSE/Hygiene and HR policies and procedures.
  • Must be fully PC literate.
  • FLT Counterbalance licenses are desirable but not essential.

Working hours for this role are any 5 over 7 shifts per week covering all the following core hours:

  • 6am-2pm - £15.55 per hour
  • 2pm-10pm - £15.55 per hour
  • 10pm-6am - £16.55 per hour

With enhanced rates for working any overtime after 37.5 hours (paid at time and a 1/3) and working any bank holidays paid at time and a half. This position is available with immediate starts, following successful interview which will be conducted on-site. This is a temp-to-perm position, with a permanent contract being offered to the right candidate after working 12 consecutive weeks.
