The Best Connection (Newcastle) is currently recruiting an experienced HGV Class 2 Tipper Driver to join our well-established client based in the Blaydon area. This is a fantastic opportunity for a HGV Class 2 Tipper Driver looking for consistent, local work with a reputable civil engineering specialist.

The Role

  • Operating an 8‑wheel Class 2 tipper vehicle.
  • Transporting aggregates, soil, and muck‑away materials.
  • Navigating active construction sites and quarries safely.
  • Conducting daily vehicle walk‑around checks.
  • Adhering to all tachograph and driving regulations.

Pay & Hours

  • £15.00 per hour.
  • Monday to Friday operations.
  • Typical start times: 06:30 / 07:00.
  • Ongoing long‑term work available for the right driver.

Requirements

  • Valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) Licence.
  • Up‑to‑date CPC and digital tachograph card.
  • Previous experience operating a tipper or 8‑wheel rigid vehicle (preferred).
  • Good knowledge of the North East road network.
  • Ability to work independently and follow site safety protocols.
