We're looking for a reliable and experienced Class 1 Night Driver to join a busy transport operation based in Altham. This role offers consistent night work, competitive pay, and the opportunity to work for a well-established logistics business.
The Role
Your duties will primarily involve carrying out trunk runs between regional distribution hubs, ensuring freight is delivered safely and efficiently. There will also be some collections and occasional customer deliveries, so a professional and customer-focused approach is essential.
- Completing nightly trunk routes between depots and distribution centres
- Collecting freight from customer sites when required
- Carrying out daily vehicle checks and defect reporting
- Ensuring all deliveries and collections are completed safely and on time
- Adhering to Driver Hours Regulations and Working Time Directive requirements
- Completing all relevant paperwork and POD documentation accurately
Requirements
To be considered for this role, applicants must have:
- A valid Class 1 (C+E) Licence
- A minimum of 2 years' Class 1 driving experience
- Valid Driver CPC Qualification Card
- Valid Digital Tachograph Card
- Good knowledge of driver hours, tachograph regulations, and road transport legislation
- No more than 6 penalty points for minor offences
- A professional, flexible, and reliable attitude
