The Best Connection Tamworth are currently recruiting for an experienced Class 1 (C+E) Day Driver to join our client based in Atherstone. This is an excellent opportunity for a professional HGV Driver looking for ongoing work with the potential to secure a permanent position.
Job Role
As a Class 1 Day Driver, you will be responsible for completing trunking work between depots, ensuring deliveries are completed safely, efficiently, and on time.
Key Responsibilities
- Driving between depots and distribution centres
- Carrying out daily vehicle checks before and after each shift
- Completing all relevant transport paperwork accurately
- Ensuring compliance with Driver's Hours and Working Time Regulations
- Maintaining a professional and courteous manner at all times
- Delivering excellent levels of customer service
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years commercial Class 1 (C+E) driving experience
- Valid UK Class 1 (C+E) Driving Licence
- Valid Driver CPC Qualification Card
- Valid Digital Tachograph Card
- Good understanding of Driver's Hours legislation
- Reliable, professional, and safety-conscious
- Comfortable with trunking work and flexible to work on an ad hoc basis
