The role involves delivery of plant and tool machinery across the UK for a leading waste management company in the Berkshire area. Hourly pay £17 per hour on a 45 hour working week, 0700-1700 with a 1 hour unpaid break. Overtime is available at time and a half after 9 hours per day (£25.50).
Responsibilities:
- Delivering and collecting plant and tools.
- Completing necessary paperwork.
- Keeping up to date with and following health and safety and other procedures.
- Reporting any vehicle defaults.
- Assisting at other depots if required.
- Assisting with non-driving jobs at depot if required, including yard areas.
- Participating in training courses as necessary, possibly in own time.
- Keeping necessary qualifications up to date.
- Liaising with staff members and customers.
Requirements:
- Class 2 driving licence (CPC) and full driving licence required, plus a Tacho card.
- Customer‑friendly attitude.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Flexible approach to overtime and tasks allocated.
- Good knowledge of the local geographical area.
