We are currently recruiting for a 7.5t driver in Seaham to join a busy operation. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced 7.5t driver looking for consistent work, great team support, and a customer-focused role.
This role is being offered on a temporary to permanent basis. As a driver you will play a key role in delivering high-quality service to customers while representing the business professionally. This position is ideal for a reliable driver.
What does the role of 7.5t driver involve?- Delivering and installing furniture in customers’ homes
- Working through a delivery schedule with the support of your crew mate
- Supporting the wider distribution centre team with loading and unloading furniture
- Providing excellent customer service and encouraging feedback
- Carrying out vehicle checks and driving safely at all times
- Working 44 hours over 4 days (every Sunday off) – flexibility required during peak periods
- Lifting up to 25kg involved throughout the role
- Previous experience in a driving role (essential)
- Driver Digital Tachograph Card
- Valid CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence)
- Good understanding of vehicle safety and tachograph regulations
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to follow processes and procedures accurately
- Customer-focused with a commitment to high service standards
- Physically fit and comfortable with lifting up to 25kg
- Hard-working and reliable relationship builder
- Warehouse experience (desirable but not essential)
