The Bespoke Framer is a small but established, London based picture framers. Started in 2018, we have grown year on year and we are now ready to expand our reach and provide our service to a wider audience and client base. To do so, we will need an enthusiastic, ambitious individual that is multi-faceted.
We are specifically looking for someone who has experience as a conservation framer. Responsibilities include:
- Measure, cut, and assemble frames for artwork and photographs
- Determine appropriate materials and techniques for framing based on the artwork's medium, size, and style
- Use power tools and hand tools to cut and shape frame components
- Mount artwork or photographs securely within frames
- Ensure frames are properly aligned and level
- Apply finishes such as paint or stain to frames as needed
- Install hanging hardware on framed pieces for display
- Assist customers in selecting appropriate frames and matting options for their artwork
- Maintain a tidy workspace
- Manage own workload
Experience required:
- Previous experience in art framing or a related field is essential
- Knowledge of various framing techniques and materials
- Familiarity with power tools and hand tools used in framing
- Ability to work with precision and attention to detail
- Strong problem-solving skills to address unique framing challenges
- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks such as bending, stooping, and standing for extended periods of time
- Knowledge of Conservation Framing is essential
- Knowledge of CMC Mount cutting preferable, training can be provided if needed
Additionally, we would be interested in an individual that has experience with social media, video recording and editing, photography, and posting onto social media sites. We are looking for someone who can show dedication to the expansion of our business.
