The Berkshire Clinic is a leading private medical clinic providing high-quality, consultant-led care across a range of specialities including cardiology, endocrinology, respiratory, neurology, vascular, stroke & elderly care, gastroenterology, sports medicine, MSK, pain management, gynaecology and diagnostic testing. We are seeking an experienced and capable Health Care Assistant / Phlebotomist to join our professional, multidisciplinary team. This role is ideally suited to someone who has extensive experience in a private or independent healthcare setting, is confident working autonomously, and takes pride in maintaining exceptional clinical and organisational standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Phlebotomy & Clinical Support
- Perform venepuncture and prepare samples accurately for laboratory transport.
- Verify lab requests and ensure correct labelling and documentation via Semble.
- Conduct physiological observations (BP, ECGs, oximetry, spirometry, etc.) and assist clinicians with diagnostic tests.
- Provide professional chaperone support and assist patients safely during appointments.
- Maintain clinical rooms to an excellent standard, ensuring equipment, forms, and consumables are always available and ready for use.
- Carry out stock audits, manage medical supplies, and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
