The predicted salary is between 32083 - 32083 £ per year.
Salary: £17.63 per hour, £1,904 (for 108 hours worked), FTE £32,083 per annum.
Contract: Fixed Term from 1 September 2026 to 31 July 2027.
Hours: 12 hours per month (108 for length of contract) for 9 out of 12 months of the year (term time only). Includes 7 hours onsite 1 Saturday a month to deliver Ranger sessions, and 5 hours each month for preparation and planning.
Location: College Lake Nature Reserve, Upper Icknield Way, Bulbourne, Tring, Buckinghamshire, HP23 5QG.

Responsibilities
- Planned, prepared and delivered Wildlife Clubs for young people aged 8‑11yrs (Young Rangers) & 11‑17yrs (Teen Rangers).
- Coordinated session planning, communicated with and supported Activity volunteers.
- Ensured that all health and safety obligations are met in all aspects of the role, including safeguarding children and young people.
- Undertook training and attended meetings as agreed.
Qualifications
- Understanding & skills to work with upper primary and/or secondary‑aged children.
- Understanding of nature conservation techniques and a good knowledge of common UK wildlife and habitats.
- Ability to inspire engagement and a love of nature in young people.
- A good understanding of Health and Safety and welfare issues in supporting children in an outdoor education environment.
- Ability to work positively with the Visitor Centre Team and volunteers to plan and deliver a well‑attended successful programme of events.
