Overview

Cafe Assistant (fixed term) – Closing date: Friday 21 November 2025. Salary: £12.60 per hour (if 18 or over), £5,241 (pro rata) per annum (FTE £22,932). Contract type: Fixed term. Working hours: Part time. Location: College Lake, Upper Icknield Way, Bulbourne, Tring, Buckinghamshire, HP23 5QG.

Contract: Fixed Term until 31/03/2026. Hours: 8 hours per week, worked as 4 hours on a Saturday and 4 hours on a Sunday, with occasional bank holidays. Additional zero hours work may also be available to cover sickness and holidays. Based: College Lake Visitor Centre, Tring, Bucks.

Responsibilities

  • Food and drink preparation, including cooking a basic menu and baking
  • Ensuring the cafe and visitor seating area is kept clean
  • Providing an excellent level of customer service
  • Assisting with stock rotation and reducing waste
  • Cash handling and using a till
