We are looking to recruit a Team Leader for our specialist care home Berkeley House in Wigan. We are looking for someone who is motivated, kind, caring, professional and has excellent leadership skills. We are looking for someone who wants to ensure that people living in the home have the best quality care possible with excellent outcomes and person-centred care.
This role is an interesting and varied role that is part of the management team within a specialist care home. The home supports people with brain injury, mental health, complex needs, neurological conditions, cognitive impairment or dual diagnosis. Each day can bring new opportunities and new challenges, and we are looking for someone who will embrace these and lead your team in best practice and excellent care.
The right person needs to be able to show excellent leadership skills, IT skills and be able to time manage effectively. To have an understanding around CQC requirements, statements and compliance.
The role includes some of the following areas:
- Care planning documentation.
- Following safeguarding processes and procedures.
- Leading the staff team.
- Monitoring compliance and actions in the home.
- Supporting staff.
- Leading and role modelling.
- Ensuring excellent standards of care.
- Ensuring high standards of documentation.
- Managing incidents and concerns.
- Ensuring high levels of activities in the home.
- Working as part of the management team.
- Daily checks and audit.
- Supporting staff with the day-to-day care of people living in the home.
- Ensuring excellent mealtimes.
- Medication management.
- Maintaining high standards of documentation.
- Leading on compliance with health and safety.
- Leading on compliance with infection control.
