Due to impressive practice growth, we are looking for a highly motivated problem solver to join our team. The work of a Managing Consultant will involve both execution and oversight of engagement work streams that may be either qualitative or quantitative in nature. Responsibilities include:
- Training and management of junior staff
- Leading projects and workstreams
- Quality control
- Development and presentation of client deliverables to a high standard, including drafting and reviewing expert reports for BRG's expert witnesses
- Day-to-day management of existing client relationships
- Industry research that is well considered and accurate
- Contributing to the expansion of BRG's business

Key responsibilities include:
- Planning and managing all aspects of small to medium sized client engagements and discreet segments of larger projects
- Delegating assignments to staff, instructing and monitoring progress, and reviewing work product for completeness and accuracy
- Developing analysis and models using a range of data sources
- Generating client deliverables and making valuable contributions to expert reports
- Managing client relationships and communicating results and work product as appropriate
- Demonstrating creativity and efficient use of relevant software tools, analytical methods, and computer models to develop solutions
- Participating in group practice meetings, contributing to business development initiatives and office functions such as staff training and recruiting
- Prioritising assignments and responsibilities in order to meet goals and deadlines
Qualifications:
- A degree (e.g., BS, BBA, MBA, M.A., M.S., LLB, etc.) with a focus on economics or equivalent experience
- Proven work experience in an environment involving competition/anti-trust disputes and/or complex/technical analysis
- Experience using data analytics tools such as MS Excel and relational database program(s) (e.g., SAS, SPSS, Stata, MS SQL Server, MS Access, Bloomberg, Capital IQ)
- A desire to expand capabilities in databases/tools is required, as is the ability to train others to use such tools
- Experience in dispute analysis and management or litigation support
- Competent, critical, and analytical thinker
- Desire and ability to manage processes within the firm and train juniors and/or other consultants
- Commitment to producing high quality analysis, that is presented in a logical and coherent way, and attention to detail despite high workloads on occasion
- Keen interest in economic or financial analysis and research
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to articulate ideas and concepts well orally and produce persuasive written work
- Ability to work as part of a team and independently
- Self-motivated
