Main duties and responsibilities:- To head and take part in the efficient running of the Front Desk and reservations desk, enforcing Policies and procedures of The Berkeley.
- To be fully conversant with Opera or Opera Cloud and follow LQA/Forbes Standards of work for the Front Office.
- Deal with any guest complaints promptly, efficiently and do service recovery when needed.
- To settle disagreements or disputes between the night staff and to report them to the head of department concerned.
- To guide guests to their rooms, in the correct way, ensure that all hotel and in room facilities are explained to The Berkeley standard and following LQA and Forbes standards.
- To liaise with the late housekeeper to ensure that sufficient vacant clean rooms are available for possible walk-in rooms, and that night cleaning schedules are carried out keeping the hotel always clean.
- To ensure financial reports are accurate and sent on daily basis, to run night audit.
- Be fully conversant with Health and Safety Policy.
