We are looking for a highly organised and proactive Warehouse Manager to lead our growing logistics operation within a fast-paced bespoke catering environment. In this role, you’ll be responsible for ensuring that all equipment and event materials are prepared, checked, and dispatched to the highest possible standard. With multiple events often running simultaneously, you’ll play a critical part in making sure everything required is accurate, complete, on time, and in excellent condition.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the day-to-day warehouse operation, ensuring efficient picking, packing, and dispatch of event equipment.
- Manage complex logistics across multiple concurrent events, maintaining accuracy under pressure.
- Coordinate closely with multiple Event Managers to ensure all event requirements are fulfilled seamlessly.
- Plan resources effectively, including scheduling warehouse staff and additional support where required.
- Maintain exceptional quality control standards for all items leaving and returning to the warehouse.
Stock & Systems Management
- Take ownership of stock control and asset management processes.
- Work with existing internal systems (currently Excel-based) while leading the implementation of a new, more advanced stock management solution (e.g. barcode system).
- Ensure accurate tracking, reporting, and availability of all equipment.
Team Leadership & Development
- Lead, motivate, and grow a small but expanding warehouse team, including Warehouse Assistants and casual staff.
- Develop efficient workflows and improve operational processes.
- Play a key role in scaling the warehouse into a high-performing, structured department.
Collaboration & Process Improvement
- Work closely with the Events and Production teams to ensure smooth operations before, during, and after events.
- Participate in regular planning meetings to align on upcoming schedules and requirements.
- Follow and enhance existing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), adapting them as the business grows.
- Contribute to the transition into a new warehouse facility planned for 2027, bringing warehouse and office teams together under one roof.
Requirements
- Proven experience in warehouse, logistics, or events operations (catering or hospitality experience desirable).
- Strong organisational and problem‑solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- A focus on both speed and accuracy, with a commitment to high standards.
- Experience managing and developing teams.
- Comfortable implementing new systems and improving processes.
- Full, clean UK driving licence (essential).
