Berkeley Scott, the UK’s leading hospitality agency, is recruiting a Head Chef for one of our education clients in West London. This is a fantastic opportunity to lead a busy college kitchen delivering fresh, high-quality food in a well-equipped environment. You’ll manage the catering team, maintain excellent food standards, and ensure full compliance with Food Safety regulations.
Hours and Remuneration
- Monday to Friday 7am – 3pm
- Temp-to-perm opportunity with trial period
- £19-£20 per hour (please note that the salary is dependent on experience)
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the catering operation
- Prepare fresh meals using standardised recipes
- Maintain Food & Health Safety standards and complete required paperwork
- Manage stock control and food ordering
- Ensure timely meal service across the site
- Support daily operations, budgets, and inventory management
Requirements
- Enhanced DBS Certificate (Child Workforce)
- Right to Work in the UK
- 2 employment references
- Minimum 1 years’ experience as a Head Chef or Kitchen Manager in a similar environment
- Level 3 Food Safety Certificate and relevant Food Safety qualifications
- Strong communication and IT skills
- Excellent timekeeping and organisational skills
