About the Role

Key Responsibilities

  • Preparing, cooking, and presenting high quality meals
  • Supporting menu planning, including dietary and allergen considerations
  • Maintaining high standards of food hygiene and kitchen cleanliness
  • Assisting with stock control, portioning, and minimising waste
  • Supporting kitchen teams during busy service periods
  • Ensuring compliance with all food safety and health & safety regulations

Working Hours

Monday to Friday (weekends typically off) Shifts available between:

Start times: 7:00am – 9:00am Finish times: 2:00pm – 4:30pm

Requirements

  • Enhanced DBS Certificate (Child Workforce) – essential
  • Right to work in the UK
  • Previous experience as a Chef or Cook in a similar environment
  • Level 2 Food Safety Certificate (desirable)
  • Experience in schools, care homes, or contract catering advantageous
  • Strong reliability, organisation, and timekeeping
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
