Are you an experienced Senior Chef de Partie or Sous Chef with a passion for fresh food and gastro pub dining, looking for your next exciting opportunity? We are currently recruiting for a 12-week ongoing temporary assignment within a busy gastro pub in East London (E16), with the potential to become a permanent position for the right candidate. The role

You will be working in a Senior CDP / Sous Chef capacity, supporting the kitchen team in delivering high-quality gastro pub food to a consistently high standard. Responsibilities include:

  • Running kitchen sections confidently and independently
  • Supporting the Head Chef with daily kitchen operations
  • Supervising junior chefs and kitchen staff
  • Maintaining excellent food quality, consistency, and presentation
  • Working efficiently during busy service periods
  • Supporting stock control, ordering, prep, and service management
  • Ensuring full compliance with food hygiene and health & safety standards

What we’re looking for

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Senior CDP or Sous Chef in the UK
  • Previous gastro pub or fresh-food restaurant experience essential
  • Strong leadership and section management skills
  • Ability to perform well in a fast-paced service environment
  • Reliable, professional, and committed to ongoing work
  • Looking for a long-term opportunity

Certifications required

  • Level 2 Food Safety Certificate
  • Allergen Certificate
  • Health & Safety Level 2
  • COSHH Certificate
  • Right to work in the UK
