Berkeley Scott is looking to register experienced Japanese Chef de Partie chefs for ad-hoc temporary agency shifts with luxury hotels, restaurants and high-end hospitality venues across London. This is ideal for chefs looking for flexible, occasional work, with shifts offered when our clients require additional support during busy periods, events and peak service.

The Experience We Need

  • Previous professional Japanese restaurant experience is essential.
  • We are looking for chefs who are confident working with Japanese cuisine and can step into a professional kitchen and contribute immediately.
  • Experience in any of the following is highly desirable:
    • Sushi & sashimi
    • Robata / charcoal grilling
    • Ramen & noodles
    • Izakaya cuisine
    • Tempura
    • Japanese hot and cold sections
    • Japanese sauces, marinades and stocks
    • High-quality mise en place and service

You do not need to be Japanese. We are looking for chefs with genuine professional experience in Japanese cuisine, strong technical skills and the ability to maintain high standards.

Requirements

  • Previous experience working in a Japanese restaurant
  • Chef de Partie or equivalent kitchen experience
  • Strong knowledge of Japanese cuisine

  • Reliable and punctual
  • Right to work in the UK
