We’re recruiting for an experienced Chef Manager to lead a busy, high-volume education kitchen in Hereford.
This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on chef and natural leader to take ownership of the kitchen operation, delivering fresh, seasonal and nutritious food to hundreds of students while leading and developing a talented catering team.
The Role
- Lead and motivate the kitchen and catering team.
- Deliver high-quality, fresh food at volume.
- Plan creative menus and manage dietary requirements.
- Oversee stock, ordering, budgets, waste and compliance.
- Maintain excellent food hygiene, health & safety and service standards.
- Build strong relationships with the school and key stakeholders.
- Drive continuous improvement across the food and service offer.
About You
We’re looking for a confident, hands-on Chef Manager, Catering Manager or Senior Chef with experience in education, contract catering or another high-volume environment.
You’ll need strong leadership skills, experience with menu planning and kitchen management, and a genuine passion for delivering great food and high standards.
