Our client requires a Chef Manager to run a contract in the provision of high end further education catering. Set up in order to help people meet their full potential, this is a great environment in which to work. They are currently seeking an experienced Chef Manager, with a background in education catering, to take up the challenge.
Working on a Monday to Friday basis, 39 weeks per year, you will be managing a team of 5 providing to circa 1000 students. You will be involved in the day to day multi-outlet catering services on site and work with suitable menus that exceed expectations. Alongside this, you will ensure that all health, safety and hygiene standards are met. An experience and knowledge of dietary requirements and allergens is essential. Stock and financial control is also in your remit.
Required Experience
- You will have experience of the provision of food to similar volume at Chef Manager level in a secondary education environment, or business and industry contract.
- You will need to demonstrate a record of success and the drive and desire always to increase standards of food and service.
- You will require up to date references, and a clean DBS check.
- A knowledge of modern food trends and commerciality is paramount.
Salary and Benefits
The starting salary for this role is up to £29,000p/a dependent on experience.
