A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced and passionate Hotel Operations Manager to join a prestigious 5-star property to oversee the day-to-day operations of our five-star luxury hotel. The successful candidate will ensure exceptional guest satisfaction, maintain the highest service standards, and lead multiple departments including front office, housekeeping, and food & beverage. You will be responsible for optimizing operational efficiency, managing budgets, and driving team performance. Strong leadership, problem-solving skills, and a passion for luxury hospitality are essential. Previous experience in a high-end hotel environment is required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the daily operations of the hotel ensuring that the team deliver great hospitality in a warm and friendly environment.
- Monitor and review customer feedback and guest reports, generate ideas to implement and make the changes that are necessary to keep the hotel moving forward.
- Oversee daily hotel operations, ensuring high service standards and a welcoming guest experience.
- Lead, motivate, and support teams, working closely with Heads of Departments.
- Drive revenue and profitability through cost control, forecasting, and upselling strategies.
- Monitor guest feedback, resolve issues promptly, and implement service improvements.
- Conduct regular inspections to maintain cleanliness, presentation, and quality standards.
- Plan and execute events (weddings, meetings, conferences) to a high standard.
- Forecast business levels and manage the functions diary to support operational planning.
- Ensure compliance with SOPs, health & safety regulations, audits, and fire checks.
- Support recruitment, training, and performance management to build a strong team culture.
- Maintain high staff presentation, grooming, and service standards.
- Deputise for the Hotel Manager and carry out Duty Management shifts as required.
- Monitor and respond to online reviews across various platforms (e.g., TripAdvisor, Google, Booking.com).
- Communicate effectively across all departments and promote a collaborative work environment.
- Undertake additional duties as required to support business needs.
- Liaise with the HM and F&B Manager & M&E to forecast weekly business and plan accordingly.
- Communicate effectively at all levels both verbally and in writing.
- Review and approve departmental rotas in advance, ensuring fairness, coverage, and operational efficiency.
