Front of House Supervisor - The Belgian Arms
Role Summary
We're looking for a confident, enthusiastic and hands-on Front of House Supervisor to help keep The Belgian Arms running like clockwork.
You'll be someone who loves hospitality, enjoys working with people and knows how to bring the best out of a team. You'll lead by example, keep service running smoothly and make sure every guest leaves feeling they've had a brilliant experience.
We're all about great food, great drinks and, most importantly, great hospitality. We want someone who takes pride in the little details, has a positive attitude and isn't afraid to roll up their sleeves and get stuck in!
Responsibilities
- Lead the team during service, keeping everyone motivated, organised and on the ball.
- Make sure every guest receives a warm welcome and fantastic service.
- Keep an eye on the details, from beautifully presented tables to a well-stocked and organised bar.
- Know your menu, wines and drinks, and help the team build their knowledge too.
- Keep communication flowing between the kitchen, bar and floor.
- Make sure bookings, guest notes and special requests are accurate and communicated.
- Support, train and encourage the team to be the best they can be.
- Deal with guest feedback and any little hiccups with confidence and a smile.
- Keep standards high when it comes to cleanliness, presentation, food safety and general organisation.
- Take ownership, use your initiative and spot what needs doing before someone has to ask.
- Support the management team with the day-to-day running of the pub and help create a brilliant working environment.
Qualifications
- Previous hospitality experience, ideally in a supervisory role.
- A genuine passion for great food, drink and hospitality.
- A natural ability to lead, motivate and bring people together.
- A positive, can-do attitude and plenty of initiative.
- Great communication and organisational skills.
- Confidence working in a busy environment and keeping a cool head.
- A good eye for detail and pride in maintaining high standards.
- A team player who isn't afraid to get stuck in, muck in and have a laugh along the way!
