As a Banqueting Sous Chef, you will focus on running, training, and developing the team to deliver our banqueting menus.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and prepare menu items ready for food service, with numbers based on hotel occupancy.
  • Cook and deliver beautifully crafted food using the best locally sourced ingredients.
  • Ensure the kitchen runs safely and compliantly.
  • Run a section of the kitchen throughout a busy service and support teammates to ensure fast and accurate delivery.
  • Manage, train and develop kitchen staff.
  • Order stock, write menus alongside the head chef, and help implement menu ideas.

Qualifications

  • Experience working in a fast‑paced kitchen environment, ideally with exposure to banqueting or event catering.
  • Background in a Sous Chef or similar role within a hotel or large‑scale kitchen.
  • Strong communication skills and a focus on teamwork.
  • Good organisational abilities, able to work efficiently and manage time effectively under pressure.
