As a Supervisor in the housekeeping team, you will be required to assist the Housekeeping Management with, but not limited to, leading a morning or afternoon shift from the floor, briefing and directing the team. You will also be responsible for the following:

  • Hands on approach to housekeeping - demonstrating, training, leading
  • People management - persuasive, inspiring and determined. Helping all team members achieve their full potential in their role
  • Monitoring and managing the Q - ensuring room readiness
  • Monitoring HSK back of house areas to ensure cleanliness and readiness at all times
  • Stock control and organisation across the blocks
  • Standards testing of the housekeeping line staff and regular quality checks of all areas
  • Assist with training of new and existing staff
  • Attend and lead departmental briefings
  • Communicate and work with other departments in the hotel
  • Actioning guest feedback (ReviewPro etc)

  • Proven experience in allocating rooms and managing daily housekeeping schedules
  • Committed to maintaining consistently high standards of cleanliness and presentation
  • Strong understanding of, and adherence to, Health & Safety rules and regulations
  • Confident in guiding, supporting, and training the housekeeping team
  • Calm under pressure, with the ability to thrive in a fast‑paced housekeeping environment
  • Able to make sound decisions and use initiative when required
  • Demonstrates solid knowledge of housekeeping operations and best practice
  • Shows a genuine passion for housekeeping and service excellence

Compensation

The on-target earning potential for this role is a £28,627.88 annual salary, comprising a base salary of £27,130.28 supplemented by an estimated £1,497.60 in gratuities per annum.
