MEETING& EVENTS
The Meeting& Events department boasts 24 stylish event spaces capable of hostinggatherings of all sizes, from board meetings to large weddings and corporateevents. With over 120 team members, we serve up to 800 guests simultaneously.Our experienced team ensures seamless and successful events, from celebritygolf days to themed BBQs, creating memorable experiences for all attendees.
The baseannual rate for this role is £34,000.00 per annum, plus service charge.
About the role
Areyou a dynamic and experienced Bar Manager with a passion for leading teams anddelivering exceptional service? Do you thrive in a fast-paced eventsenvironment and enjoy the challenge of managing multiple bars?
Weare looking for an Events Bar Manager to oversee and manage our hotel’smultiple bar operations for events, ranging from weddings and corporatefunctions to large-scale celebrations. As the Events Bar Manager, you will beresponsible for ensuring thatour bars run smoothly and efficiently whiledelivering outstanding service to all our guests. You will manage a team of upto 30 staff as well as close to 2 million pounds of revenue
Thisrole is 45 hours per week, from 12 or 3 pm until close 5 days out of seven.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the day-to-day operations of several bars across variousevents.
- Lead, train, and motivate a team of bartenders and bar staff.
- Maintain an environment which promotes employee morale andpride
- Ensure high standards of service and compliance with health andsafety regulations.
- Monitor stock levels, control costs, and ensure profitability. Beexperienced in taking ownership over your department and achievingfinancial and guest score targets
- Working with the Head of Meeting and Events to establish andimplement new ideas and initiatives within the department.
- Work closely with the events team to provide a seamless guestexperience.
About you
The ideal candidate with be passionate about quality, wine and beveragesand the use of seasonal produce, and the delivery of exceptional customerservice along with a in a stunning environment you will also be:
- Proven experience in bar management, preferably in a hotel orevents setting.
- Strong leadership and team-building skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
- Knowledge of stock control, bar operations, and budgeting.
- A proactive, problem-solving attitude with a keen eye for detail.
- An inspirational leader who develops your team and fostersexcitement for our food and drinks offering
- Fantastic eye for detail and is able to develop strongrelationships with your guests, team, and colleagues
