The Belfry Meetings and Events offers beautiful event spaces with comprehensive and stylish meeting facilities comprising 25 conference and banqueting rooms, catering for a variety of events up to 1000 guests across multiple events in one day. The resort also caters for leisure-based events such as weddings, christenings, and birthday celebrations. Our meetings and events department is responsible for over £6m revenue annually, with a number of bars generating £1.6 million plus annual revenue. The department has a payroll budget of £1 million with around 120 team members.
Salary: The base annual rate for this role is £35,500.00 per annum, plus service charge.
About the role: You will be given a 45-hour per week contract. As the Meeting and Events Assistant Manager, you will be responsible for the smooth running of the department, ensuring excellent guest service is delivered by the team at all times. This is a fantastic opportunity for an aspiring F&B manager to gain great experience and skills in a multi-faceted role at England’s leading resort.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting the Meeting and Events Manager with a hands-on approach to the running of the functions and events whilst enhancing the guest experience.
- Working closely with organisers, VIPs, and other prestigious clients to deliver their expectations ensuring the highest attention to detail.
- Liaising with other heads of departments to deliver what the client wants and maintain working relationships.
- Ensuring your department exceeds targets by driving success and managing costs.
- Assisting with managing, training, and developing a large team.
