Overview
The Belfry Hotel & Resort is an award-winning hotel with 300+ bedrooms and suites, several restaurants and bars, events and meetings spaces, a leisure club and spa. Our three golf courses, including The Brabazon, are recognised as world-class, and host to events such as the Betfred British Masters. We are expanding with a major renovation project due for completion in Autumn 2025, including a new event space (The Masters Suite), 149 extra bedrooms, a state-of-the-art leisure club, and more. GOLF The Belfry’s Golf team offers experiences across three courses: The Brabazon, The PGA, and The Derby. The Golf Shop is the UK’s largest and provides top-quality apparel and equipment. The Golf Operations team ensures smooth tee-offs, and The Golf Academy offers skill refinement with Top Tracer technology, custom-fit equipment, and lessons from PGA professionals. The Belfry welcomes golf enthusiasts of all levels.
The on-target earning potential for this role is £12.80 per hour (base £12.21 per hour plus an estimated £0.59 in hourly gratuities).
About the Role
Set within the busy Golf Shop, you will deal with all customer enquiries in a friendly and professional manner, drive revenue, and take opportunities to recommend relevant products while providing excellent guest service.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the daily operation of the shop floor
- Ensure excellent service, greet and assist customers
- Maximise revenue by advising customers and sharing product knowledge
- Maintain high merchandising standards throughout the shop
- Maintain product knowledge
- Assist with returns and other general enquiries
About You
- Experience in golf retail either as part of a Golf Club or standalone sports business
- Exceptional customer service and communication skills
- Passionate about working in a high-quality retail environment that celebrates individual and team success
