Overview

The Belfry Hotel & Resort is an award-winning hotel with 300+ bedrooms and suites, several restaurants and bars, events and meetings spaces, a leisure club and spa. The Belfry features three golf courses, including The Brabazon, and hosts events such as this year’s Betfred British Masters.

The Belfry has invested over £80 million in expansion and renovation, adding The Masters Suite, a new event space, 149 extra bedrooms, a state-of-the-art leisure club and more. The resort was named in the 2024 Caterer’s Top 30 Best Places to Work and Springboard’s 2024 Best Employer. The Brabazon Bar is a central hub offering light dishes, coffees, afternoon tea and cocktails, with live music on weekends.

Salary information is shown below. The role is for a Food & Beverage Assistant Manager who will work with managers to lead and organise the team to deliver high operational standards and maximise revenue in the department.

Responsibilities

  • Coaching, developing, and acting as a role model to the team
  • Overseeing compliance with Health & Safety regulations
  • Handling customer queries and resolving issues
  • Assisting in recruitment and training to company standards
  • Working with management on menu changes
  • Reviewing weekly business to address successes and opportunities for improvement with revenue, guest measures, and payroll
  • Overseeing cellar, stock control and bar training
  • Identifying opportunities to drive profit and create value for guests
  • Ensuring the team are informed, motivated, engaged, and developed to deliver operational excellence

About You / Qualifications

  • Proven food & beverage background within high-end hotels or cocktail bars
  • Experience in high-volume operations
  • Outstanding leadership skills that inspire and motivate others
  • Absolute commitment to guest expectations and their experience
  • Personal integrity to develop trust within the team
  • Experience in cellar management and stock control
  • Experience in creating rotas and managing payroll

Salary

The on-target earning potential for this role is a £34,143.60 annual salary, comprising a base salary of £31,476.00 and an estimated £2,667.60 in gratuities per annum.
