Overview

The Belfry Hotel & Resort is an award-winning hotel, home to 300+ luxurious bedrooms and suites, several restaurants and bars, events and meetings spaces, a leisure club and spa. The Belfry recently underwent a major expansion and renovation with an investment of over £80 million, introducing The Masters Suite, a new event space, 149 additional bedrooms, a state-of-the-art leisure club and other enhancements. We are named in the 2024 Caterer’s Top 30 Best Places to Work and Springboard’s 2024 Best Employer. We’re looking for a Chef De Partie to join Sam’s Bar & Kitchen and contribute to our Kitchen team.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and preparation of menu items for your section; prepare food in advance for the coming week; may take ownership of the kitchen in the absence of the kitchen management team.
  • Cook and deliver beautifully crafted food using the best ingredients sourced from local suppliers.
  • Understand the importance of allergens and dietary safety within the kitchen.
  • Responsible for all temperature logging for hot items and refrigerators to ensure full compliance.
  • Run a section of the kitchen during a busy service and provide support to teammates to ensure a fast and accurate delivery.
  • Clear and clean your section and other areas of the kitchen to remain compliant.
  • Understand COSHH and HACCP related to food storage.
  • Work towards guidelines of portion control including weights and measurements and log wastage for more accurate GP %.

About You / Qualifications

  • The ideal candidate will have experience as a Chef de Partie and possess excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Passionate about food and working with seasonal ingredients; standards-driven with a strong eye for detail.
  • Able to take ownership of your section and work towards portion control guidelines (weights/measurements) and wastage logging for GP improvements.
  • Ability to develop strong relationships with team members and colleagues; proficient in COSHH and HACCP related to storage.

Salary

The on target earnings for this role are £33,662.81 per annum, comprising a base salary of £31,441.37 plus an estimated £2,221.44 in gratuities.

About the Role

In Sam’s Bar & Kitchen we operate a 4-day on / 3-day off rota.
