Most marketing is ignored. At The Behaviours Agency, we make sure it isn't. Based in Manchester, we’re a creative partner for ambitious brands who are hungry to grow. We believe that to drive real brand growth, brands have to become undeniably relevant and totally un-ignorable. We do this for our clients through our unique Motivation + Memorability approach - a creative process that blends behavioural science with modern marketing science to unlock new consumer behaviours. By combining deep strategy with distinct design, we help brands show up consistently and connect with people truly and deeply.
We are proud to be an Employee-Owned Trust (EOT). This means our team doesn't just work here, we own our future together, fostering a culture of shared success and genuine accountability. As a Certified B Corporation, we are committed to doing business for good. Our accolades, such as the IPA CPD Gold and Investors in People Gold, reflect our 20-year commitment to professional development and employee well-being.
The opportunity: We’re looking for a passionate Mid-Senior Designer who is fully experienced in brand & digital. You are curious about why people do what they do and—crucially—you have the appetite to translate those insights into brave, bold work that disrupts the status quo. We aren't looking for "safe." Whether it’s a brand identity, a complex packaging range, or a high-converting digital campaign, we want someone who strives to create work that is as visually daring as it is strategically effective. This role is perfect for a designer who is ambitious, curious about AI, and equally comfortable in the tactile world of print and the fast-paced world of digital. You will own projects from the "big idea" to final delivery, collaborating with our strategists and writers to push creative boundaries and deliver work that refuses to be ignored.
Your experience:
- Agency background: Proven experience working on brand identities, advertising, and social media campaigns within a creative agency setting.
- Technical toolkit: Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, and a flexibility to learn new tools.
- Motion design: Experience using After Effects is essential; you should be able to demonstrate this within your portfolio.
- AI Integration: Comfort using AI software to drive creative efficiency and innovation.
- Communication: Experienced in presenting work and rationale to both internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Adaptability: A track record of thriving in a fast-paced creative studio environment.
- Behavioural curiosity: An interest in (or experience with) behavioural science and how design can be used to influence consumer habits.
If you have experience in art direction, shoot planning, or AI-assisted design workflows, we want to hear about it!
You will:
- Work both independently and collaboratively on projects from briefing through to delivery.
- Champion bold ideas, navigating and implementing feedback with a solutions-oriented mindset.
- Demonstrate original thinking to answer client briefs in interesting and exciting ways.
- Create client-ready assets for digital formats, including short motion design pieces.
- Support the creation of compelling, high-quality presentation decks.
- Manage and prioritise your own workload and deadlines while maintaining organised files for the benefit of the wider team.
We’ll be blown away by:
- An up-to-date awareness of trends in culture, design, technology, and advertising.
- A genuine love for brand design and a deep understanding of the creative process.
- A curious mind—someone who is bursting with questions and isn't afraid to challenge a brief to make the work braver.
- A fearless approach to taking responsibility and pushing your own creative boundaries.
- The ability to see an opportunity in every project to learn something new.
What you’ll get from us:
- Ownership: Be part of an Employee-Owned Trust where your voice matters.
- Salary: £35k+ (dependent on experience).
- Hybrid working: Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday in our Manchester studio.
- Holiday: 20 days holiday (plus bank holidays).
- Studio closure: Extra time off between Christmas and New Year.
- Benefits: Workplace pension and 2 Wellbeing Days per year.
- Culture: Monthly team lunches and a supportive, growth-focused environment.
