We’re looking for an experienced and reliable Community Care Worker to join our friendly, professional team. This is a full‑time, permanent role supporting customers in their own homes across East and Mid Devon. You’ll work independently in the community while being fully supported by a responsive and knowledgeable office team. Rotas are planned in advance on a 4‑week rolling basis, with every other weekend, and you’ll usually be allocated to the service area closest to where you live to support continuity of care and reasonable travel. This role would suit someone who is reliable, kind, and committed to making a positive difference in people’s lives.
Responsibilities
- Delivering personal care with dignity and respect
- Supporting with meals, nutrition and hydration
- Providing companionship and emotional support
- Assisting with light household tasks in line with care plans
- Administering medication in line with training and MAR charts
- Supporting with manual handling, including hoists
- Providing catheter care where trained
- Working safely as a lone worker, following risk assessments
- Recording care notes accurately using our digital care system
- Reporting changes in health or wellbeing and following safeguarding procedures
- Completing a structured 3‑day induction, including classroom‑based learning, shadowing, and practical preparation
