About the Role
As a Deputy Manager, you’ll work closely with the Registered Manager to lead a dedicated residential team and ensure the home delivers exceptional care and support. You’ll be instrumental in creating a safe, nurturing, and structured environment where young people can grow and succeed.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Lead & Support – Inspire, mentor, and guide staff to deliver high-quality care
- Drive Standards – Ensure compliance with safeguarding, regulations, and Ofsted standards
- Shape Care – Oversee and review person-centred care plans
- Manage Operations – Support with budgets, staffing, and daily home management
- Develop People – Lead training, performance, and continuous improvement
- Create Culture – Promote a positive, safe, and inclusive environment
What We’re Looking For
- Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (essential)
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a supervisory role within residential childcare
- Strong understanding of safeguarding & Ofsted frameworks
- Excellent organisation and leadership skills
- Confident using digital care systems
Desirable:
- Level 5 Diploma (or willingness to work towards)
- Previous Deputy Manager experience
