About the Role

As a Deputy Manager, you’ll work closely with the Registered Manager to lead a dedicated residential team and ensure the home delivers exceptional care and support. You’ll be instrumental in creating a safe, nurturing, and structured environment where young people can grow and succeed.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Lead & Support – Inspire, mentor, and guide staff to deliver high-quality care
  • Drive Standards – Ensure compliance with safeguarding, regulations, and Ofsted standards
  • Shape Care – Oversee and review person-centred care plans
  • Manage Operations – Support with budgets, staffing, and daily home management
  • Develop People – Lead training, performance, and continuous improvement
  • Create Culture – Promote a positive, safe, and inclusive environment

What We’re Looking For

  • Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (essential)
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a supervisory role within residential childcare
  • Strong understanding of safeguarding & Ofsted frameworks
  • Excellent organisation and leadership skills
  • Confident using digital care systems

Desirable:

  • Level 5 Diploma (or willingness to work towards)
  • Previous Deputy Manager experience
