We are seeking to appoint a Site Manager for our vibrant, inclusive and happy primary school. At The Beeches, we work as a team to support the children and families in our community. We are looking for a friendly and hardworking site manager who will form strong relationships with all stakeholders and greet families with a smile each day. We seek an enthusiastic and committed individual (required from mid August), to work with the Trust and onsite cleaning team, ensuring the school premises and facilities are presented and maintained to the highest standards. Previous experience in a school environment would be of great advantage.
Key tasks will include:
- Undertaking site security and fire alarms, including locking and unlocking premises.
- Taking a proactive role in identifying and implementing improvements to site security.
- Supervising the work of contractors on site.
- General porterage, furniture, equipment and room set up.
- Having an understanding of Health and Safety within the school environment or being willing to learn.
- Liaising with school management with the planning of future projects & budgets.
- Communicating with external contractors regarding maintenance work and projects.
- Site cleaning and working alongside the cleaning team.
- General site maintenance.
- Monitoring of planned maintenance, site maintenance, weekly checks and repairs through the online system - IAm Compliant.
- Management of grounds maintenance.
- Good communication skills, the ability to work effectively with others in school and to work without direct supervision is essential.
- Working alongside the Trust Estate Managers, school Business Manager and Headteachers to ensure high standards and best value are met.
- Being available to answer emergencies outside of regular working hours and pre-planned lettings.
- Ensuring that any lettings of the school comply with the Trust Lettings Policy and any breaches are logged.
Personal qualities required are a flexible attitude, willingness to undertake a variety of practical tasks, a commitment to high standards and attention to detail. Hours will be weekdays 6:30am-9:30am and 1:30pm-6:00pm each day totalling 7.5 hours per day, 37.5 hours per week for 52 weeks a year.
