Who Are We? The Bedford Hotel Belfast is a prestigious boutique hotel set within the iconic Scottish Mutual Building in the heart of the city. With 82 beautifully appointed bedrooms, a destination restaurant, café/bar, and exclusive private dining, The Bedford Hotel Belfast is setting new standards for hospitality in Northern Ireland.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Maintain the highest standards of cleanliness in all kitchen areas by following established procedures each day set by the Head Chef.
  • Support the rest of the Kitchen Team with any tasks as required.
  • Work the sections, ensuring that pot-wash standards are dealt with efficiently and to the best of your ability, always ensuring the utmost cleanliness.
  • Display efficient working practices and ensure all the kitchen, utensils, cookware, and crockery are properly cleaned in a timely manner.
  • Support the Head Chef with stock taking and storage of stock, including checking deliveries.
  • Assist in ensuring a high level of Health & Safety, cleanliness and food hygiene and ensure that safe working practices are followed.
  • Be aware of COSHH regulations and use of PPE.
  • Carry out any other reasonable duties within the overall function of the job.

Key Requirements:

  • Previous experience preferred.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and enjoy it.
  • Ability to work independently, being self-motivated to complete the tasks.
  • Flexibility to enjoy working different shift patterns and seeing the operation on different days of the week including weekends.
