The Bedford Hotel Belfast is a prestigious boutique hotel set within the iconic Scottish Mutual Building in the heart of the city. With 82 beautifully appointed bedrooms, a destination restaurant, café/bar, and exclusive private dining rooms, The Bedford Hotel Belfast is setting new standards for hospitality in Northern Ireland.
Role Responsibilities:
- Welcome guests warmly and provide a personalised, professional first impression.
- Assist guests with all enquiries including directions, transport, dining, entertainment, and local attractions.
- Ensure you have a sound knowledge of the local area regarding history, places of interest, special events, and where further information can be obtained.
- Respond promptly to guest requests, ensuring seamless service from arrival to departure.
- Coordinate luggage handling, transportation, and taxi services.
- Support front-of-house operations and ensure smooth daily running.
- Liaise with Front Office, Housekeeping, Reservations, and Food & Beverage departments to coordinate guest needs.
- Escort VIP guests to their rooms, providing a personalised introduction to hotel facilities.
- Manage and track guest parcels, mail, courier requests, and important package deliveries.
- Handle calls, emails, and internal communications professionally.
- Ensure all procedures and day-to-day performance comply with legislative and hotel guidelines.
- Follow all safety and emergency procedures, assist guests during evacuations or emergency events.
- Provide valet parking services as and when required.
- Maintain awareness of suspicious behaviour or unauthorised individuals in public spaces.
- Secure confidential guest information in line with GDPR and hotel policy.
- Complete any other reasonable tasks as delegated by your Line Manager.
Key Requirements:
- Strong customer service experience within hospitality or a similar guest-facing role.
- Excellent communication skills and a friendly, professional manner.
- A genuine passion for delivering outstanding guest experiences.
- High attention to detail.
- The ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Good IT proficiency (PMS systems experience beneficial).
- A full and valid UK driving licence, for at least five years.
- Knowledge of the local area, attractions, and services (desirable).
- Previous concierge or front-of-house hotel experience.
