The Bedford Hotel Belfast is seeking an experienced and passionate Sous Chef to join its team.
The Bedford Hotel is a prestigious boutique hotel in the heart of Belfast, set within the iconic Scottish Mutual Building. With 82 luxury bedrooms, a destination restaurant, cafe bar and private dining rooms, we are setting new standards for hospitality in Northern Ireland.
The Bedford Hotel, operated by Focus Hotels Management, seeks a skilled and driven Sous Chef who thrives in a luxury hospitality setting. You are a natural leader with a passion for service excellence and an unwavering commitment to creating unforgettable guest experiences. Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily kitchen operations and ensure smooth service
- Assist the Executive Head Chef in planning and executing menus for the restaurant, café, private dining
- Supervise and support kitchen team members
- Provide on the job training, mentoring and support to develop team skills and maintain high culinary standards
- Uphold food hygiene, health and safety and allergen control procedures in line with Food Safety Standards
- Assist with ordering, stock rotation and inventory management to ensure freshness and reduce wastage
- Monitor food costs and support the Executive Head Chef in a chieving GP targets
- Participate in daily briefings and management meetings as required
