Salary & Benefits: £33,048 to £38,169 per annum DOE and qualifications, plus up to £10,000 market supplement, 45 days annual leave, bank holidays, Teacher’s Pension, retail and leisure discounts, professional development opportunities, access to college courses.

About the Role: We are seeking a Technical Lecturer in Electrical Installation to join our Construction department at The Bedford College Group.
Responsibilities:
- Plan, develop and deliver high‑quality teaching across Electrical Installation and Building Services programmes, including gas training, aligned to industry standards and learner progression.
- Deliver engaging, practical learning experiences, supporting learners to develop skills, knowledge and confidence to achieve success.
- Monitor attendance and progress, assess learner performance, manage behaviour effectively and implement interventions to support achievement.
- Prepare schemes of work, design differentiated lessons and maintain safe, compliant workshops through risk assessment and effective resource management.
- Contribute to curriculum development, team activities and marketing events, while upholding safeguarding, EDI, health & safety and continuous professional development standards.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Level 3 NVQ in Electrical Installations with strong industry experience.
- Commitment to achieving teaching and assessor qualifications (TAQA/Cert Ed).
- Able to deliver engaging teaching across vocational levels, using varied methods to motivate learners and support achievement and progression.
- Up‑to‑date technical knowledge and understanding of quality assurance systems, with strong application of health and safety in practical environments.
- Strong interpersonal and organisational skills, ability to manage workload effectively, communicate confidently and contribute positively within a team.
- Committed to safeguarding, continuous professional development and learner success, with a flexible approach to working across sites and adapting to changing demands.
