Location: Tresham College – Kettering Campus
Salary/Benefits: Salary is between £33,048 and £38,169 per annum DOE and Qualifications, 45 days annual leave plus bank holidays, teacher’s pension, retail and leisure discounts, and excellent professional and personal development opportunities, including access to college courses. Note – Salary and annual leave entitlement is for a qualified lecturer.
Hours/Weeks: 37 hours per week – 52 weeks per year
Contract Type: Permanent – Full Time

About The Role:
- Teaching, Learning & Student Achievement: Deliver high‑quality teaching, assessment and verification across Levels 2–5, supporting learners to achieve success and reach their full potential.
- Curriculum Planning & Innovative Delivery: Develop up‑to‑date schemes of work and engaging learning materials, contributing proactively to curriculum development and innovative teaching practice.
- Assessment, Progress & Quality Assurance: Monitor and track learner progress, meet awarding body standards, complete verification and contribute to internal quality assurance and self‑assessment processes.
- Learner Support, Behaviour & Enrichment: Support individual learner needs, promote positive behaviour and enhance the student experience through employer links, work experience and enrichment opportunities.
- Professional Practice, Administration & Compliance: Maintain accurate records, meet deadlines, contribute to marketing and recruitment activities, and uphold safeguarding, EDI, health & safety and CPD requirements.
About You:
- Qualifications & Scientific Expertise: Bachelor’s degree in a science‑related subject with GCSE English and maths, supported by vocational industry experience and commitment to achieving a teaching qualification.
- Teaching, Learning & Student Experience: Ability to deliver high‑quality teaching and support positive learner outcomes, creating inclusive and engaging learning environments that meet diverse student needs.
- Sector Knowledge & Continuous Development: Up‑to‑date knowledge of developments in the science field, with a strong commitment to CPD and maintaining professional expertise.
