Location: Tresham College – Corby and Wellingborough Campuses
Salary/Benefits: Salary is between £33,048 and £38,169 per annum DOE and Qualifications plus a Market Supplement of up to £10,000, 45 days annual leave plus Bank holidays, Teacher’s Pension, Retail and Leisure Discounts, excellent professional and personal development opportunities, accessing college courses.
Hours/Weeks: 37 hours per week – 52 weeks per year
Contract Type: Permanent – Full Time

About The Role
- Curriculum Design & Built Environment Delivery: Plan, develop and deliver engaging programmes in Built Environment and Sustainable Development, ensuring curriculum relevance and alignment to learner progression and industry needs.
- Teaching, Learning & Student Development: Deliver high‑quality teaching through varied, real‑world learning activities, supporting learners to develop knowledge, life skills and achieve their potential.
- Assessment, Progress & Behaviour Management: Monitor attendance and progress, assess learner performance, manage behaviour effectively and implement interventions to support achievement and positive conduct.
- Planning, Resources & Safe Learning Environments: Prepare schemes of work, learning resources and risk‑assessed environments, ensuring safe, well‑managed classrooms and workshops.
- Professional Practice, Collaboration & Compliance: Contribute to course development, team activities and external engagement, while upholding safeguarding, EDI, health & safety and continuous professional development standards.
About You
- Qualifications, Teaching & Sector Development: Level 3 specialist qualification with PGCE/Cert Ed, supported by commitment to achieving TAQA and developing expertise in Built Environment and Sustainable Development.
- Teaching, Assessment & Learner Progress: Experience in assignment design, marking and progress tracking, delivering engaging teaching across levels and ensuring learners meet targets and deadlines.
- Curriculum Knowledge & Compliance: Strong understanding of personal development topics (e.g. Safeguarding, Prevent, British Values) and quality assurance processes within teaching and learning.
- Organisation, IT & Classroom Management: Highly organised with strong IT skills (Microsoft Office, Teams/ProMonitor), able to manage learner groups effectively and maintain high standards of behaviour and achievement.
- Professional Values, Collaboration & Flexibility: Motivated, reflective and learner‑focused, committed to safeguarding, CPD and teamwork, with flexibility to adapt to changing needs and work across College sites.
