As a Teaching Assistant you will be supporting students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities accessing courses across the college from level one to level three. It is an exciting role where no two days are the same! One day you may be notetaking within a level three engineering lesson, the next providing prompts and reassurance to a student within a hairdressing salon.

As a Teaching Assistant within the team you will be well supported and have excellent staff development opportunities to continually update and develop your own professional practice. Whilst we value qualifications and experience we are keen to attract staff who share our passion and place the student at the heart of what they do, who have a caring nature but wish to support and promote opportunities to enable students to develop their independence.

The successful candidate will be subject to a thorough vetting process which includes an enhanced DBS check and satisfactory references. Contract Type – Bedford College Professional Services 37 hours per week (0.82969 FTE) / 37 weeks per year. Free on-site parking during weekdays and weekends (subject to availability). Retail and leisure discounts. Interviews will be held on a date to be confirmed.
