Lecturer – English – Ongoing Recruitment, Bedford

The Bedford College Group is currently seeking an English Lecturer to join our Maths and English Department at Bedford College, Cauldwell Street campus.

Location: Bedford College, Cauldwell Street

Role: English Lecturer

Responsibilities include:

  • Preparing, delivering, and assessing English courses across various levels.
  • Supporting students to achieve success and reach their potential.
  • Managing students’ learning experiences and providing high-quality instruction.
  • Participating in curriculum development and innovative teaching initiatives.
  • Engaging in marketing and promotional activities for our programs.

Candidate requirements:

  • Relevant degree and/or Level 5 qualification in English.
  • Certificate in Education/PGCE or equivalent, or willingness to obtain.
  • English and mathematics at GCSE grade A-C or equivalent.
  • Experience in meeting deadlines and monitoring student progress.
  • Ability to develop engaging learning materials and promote inclusivity.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of students and vulnerable groups.
