Location: Tresham College – Kettering Campus

Salary & Benefits: Salary between £33,048 and £38,169 per annum based on experience and qualifications. 45 days annual leave plus bank holidays, teacher’s pension, retail and leisure discounts, professional development opportunities, access to college courses.

Hours / Weeks: 37 hours per week, 52 weeks per year.

Contract Type: Permanent – Full time. Right to Work UK based contract. Must have the right to work in the UK. No sponsorship offered.

About The Role: We are recruiting a Lecturer in Esports for our Esports department at the Bedford College Group.

Responsibilities:

  • Teach, assess and verify student achievement across a range of programmes and levels.
  • Plan and deliver curriculum, developing schemes of work and engaging learning resources; support curriculum development.
  • Monitor learner progress, provide timely feedback, ensure compliance with awarding body standards and internal quality processes.
  • Support students through guidance, behaviour management, and enrichment opportunities, including employer links and work experience.
  • Maintain accurate records, contribute to team and college activities, uphold safeguarding, EDI, health & safety and CPD responsibilities.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Degree in Esports or a related field with GCSE English and Maths; strong and current knowledge of industry developments and trends.
  • Ability to deliver engaging, high‑quality learning experiences that support student success and skill development.
  • Up‑to‑date knowledge of the Esports sector; commitment to CPD and innovative teaching.
  • Excellent interpersonal, organisational and teamwork skills; meet deadlines, build relationships and contribute positively within a team.
  • Commitment to safeguarding, equality, diversity and college values; flexible to work across sites and support student success.
