Are you passionate about shaping the future of students in the land-based sector?, The Bedford College Group is looking for a dedicated Industry Placement Assessor to join our team at Shuttleworth Campus, Old Warden. In this role, you will play a crucial part in our students’ success by:

  • Sourcing industry placements and conducting health and safety checks.

  • Ensuring employers are committed to industry placement requirements and provide a safe environment.

  • Leading industry placement efforts for T-Level provision.

  • Coordinating all aspects of industry placements to ensure relevance to occupational specialisms.

  • Providing workplace readiness activities for all land-based learners.

  • Assisting the Head of Department in improving curriculum development and excellence.

We are looking for candidates who have:

  • A good all-round education, including Maths and English at GCSE (Grade A – C) or equivalent level (level 2).

  • An A1 Assessor qualification or Training, Assessment and Quality Assurance (TAQA) Award, or a willingness to work towards it.

  • A minimum of level 3 in the relevant sector area.

  • Knowledge of recent developments in industry placements and vocational qualifications, particularly T Levels.

  • Understanding of the land-based sector and its opportunities.

  • Recent relevant commercial or industrial experience in the land-based sector.

  • The ability to manage your own diary to ensure regular learner visits in line with ESFA and college guidelines.

  • The ability to travel across a geographical area.

Salary/Benefits: up to £33,231 (Pro Rata) DOE and Qualifications. Enjoy 27 days of annual leave (Pro Rata) plus bank holidays, Peoples pension, retail and leisure discounts, and excellent professional and personal development opportunities, including access to college courses.

Working Pattern: 22.2 hours per week (0.6 FTE)
