About The Role
We are currently seeking an Examinations Officer to join our Examinations department at The Bedford College Group.
Responsibilities
- Deliver Exams Administration Service β Provide full exams administration for students and staff, ensuring compliance with awarding body regulations.
- Coordinate Exam Processes β Schedule exams, prepare materials, arrange invigilators, and maintain secure handling of confidential papers.
- Manage Results & Records β Despatch results and certificates promptly, input achievement data accurately, and complete monthly checks.
- Ensure Compliance & Communication β Advise staff on procedures, communicate exam details, and stay updated on regulations and ILR requirements.
- Support College Standards β Uphold safeguarding, equality, health & safety, and participate in training and development in line with TBCG policies.
About You
Essential Qualifications β Maths and English at A*-C (or Level 2 equivalent) and minimum of 5 GCSEs; strong IT skills including Excel and Word.
Administrative Expertise β Proven experience in office-based administration, data entry, and handling confidential documentation with accuracy.
Organisational & Customer Service Skills β Excellent communication, planning, and ability to work calmly under pressure while meeting deadlines.
Adaptable & Team-Oriented β Demonstrates flexibility, embraces change, and contributes positively to team objectives with a βcan doβ attitude.
Compliance & Professional Standards β Ability to follow regulations, safeguard exam integrity, transport papers securely, and maintain professionalism at all times.

The Bedford College Group was formed in 2017 following the merger of Bedford College and Tresham College and is now the largest provider of education in the South East Midlands, with over 15,000 students passing through our doors each year.
