Position Details
- Role: EDI Specialist
- Location: Multi – can be any campus
- Salary/Benefits: Salary is between £30,915 and £41,085 per annum (Pro‑Rate) dependent on experience and qualifications, 27 days annual leave (Pro‑Rate) plus bank holidays, people’s pension, retail and leisure discounts, excellent professional and personal development opportunities, accessing college courses.
- Hours/Weeks: 22 hours per week – 52 weeks per year
- Contract Type: Permanent – part time
- Right to Work: This is a UK based contract and you are required to have the right to work in the UK. Sponsorship is not offered.
About The Role
- EDI Strategy & Programme Delivery – Lead and deliver Equality, Diversity & Inclusion (EDI) and Social Value initiatives, supporting the achievement of organisational objectives, accreditation standards, and key performance targets.
- Training, Events & Engagement – Develop and facilitate EDI training, coordinate awareness events and activities, and engage students, staff, and stakeholders in inclusive practices across all campuses.
- Support, Advice & Collaboration – Provide guidance and support on EDI matters, work with teams to meet EDI standards, and collaborate with internal and external partners to promote an inclusive culture.
- Monitoring, Compliance & Continuous Improvement – Manage Equality Impact Assessments, monitor actions and outcomes, stay current with EDI developments, and ensure policies and procedures are effectively implemented.
- Professionalism & College Responsibilities – Contribute to team objectives, attend meetings and events across campuses, maintain mandatory training, and uphold safeguarding, equality, health & safety, and professional development requirements.
About You
- Qualifications & Professional Development – Degree‑level education or significant EDI/Social Value experience, with a strong commitment to continuous professional learning and development.
- EDI, Training & Project Experience – Experience delivering EDI initiatives, managing projects, working across multiple sites, and developing or delivering training in fast‑paced environments.
- Communication & Relationship Building – Excellent verbal, written, and IT skills, with the ability to build professional relationships, communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders, and handle sensitive matters with discretion.
- Organisation & Adaptability – Strong planning, prioritisation, and workload management skills, with the ability to work independently or collaboratively, adapt to changing demands, and perform under pressure.
- Professionalism & Inclusion – Commitment to EDI, safeguarding, and health & safety, with the ability to understand diverse perspectives, maintain appropriate professional boundaries, travel across sites, and continuously develop knowledge and skills.
