Salary & Benefits: Salary is between £33,048 and £38,169 per annum DOE and Qualifications, plus up to a £10,000 market supplement, 45 days annual leave plus Bank holidays, Teacher’s Pension, Retail and Leisure Discounts, excellent professional and personal development opportunities.

About The Role
We are seeking a Technical Lecturer in Motor Vehicle to join the Motor Vehicle department at The Bedford College Group.
Responsibilities
- Teaching, Learning & Motor Vehicle Delivery – Deliver high‑quality teaching across Motor Vehicle (Light Vehicle Maintenance) programmes, supporting learners to develop practical skills and industry knowledge.
- Curriculum Planning & Practical Learning Design – Plan schemes of work and hands‑on learning activities, ensuring lessons are engaging, relevant and aligned to City & Guilds standards.
- Assessment, Progress & Learner Development – Monitor attendance and progress, assess learner work and provide constructive feedback to support achievement and progression.
- Classroom Management, Safety & Workshop Practice – Maintain high standards of behaviour and ensure safe workshop environments, applying health & safety regulations in practical settings.
- Professional Practice, Collaboration & Continuous Improvement – Contribute to curriculum development, team activities and learner support, while upholding safeguarding, EDI and ongoing CPD standards.
About You
- Qualifications, Vocational Expertise & Industry Knowledge – Level 3 qualification in a relevant subject with Level 2 English and maths, supported by current industry experience and up‑to‑date technical expertise.
- Teaching, Delivery & Learner Engagement – Ability to deliver engaging, practical teaching across vocational levels, using varied approaches to motivate learners and support achievement.
- Assessment, Quality Assurance & Health & Safety – Strong understanding of assessment and quality assurance processes, with effective application of health & safety standards in practical learning environments.
- Organisation, Communication & Team Collaboration – Excellent organisational and interpersonal skills, able to manage workload, meet deadlines and contribute effectively within a collaborative team.
