About The Role
We are currently seeking an Associate Examinations Assistant to join our Examinations department at The Bedford College Group. As an Associate Examinations Assistant, you play an important role in the success of our students through:
- Examination Integrity & Compliance – Ensure all exam processes follow Awarding Body regulations and internal procedures, maintaining the highest standards of accuracy, security and professionalism.
- Exam Delivery Support – Assist the Senior Examinations Administrator/Exams Manager with the smooth delivery of examinations, including preparation, coordination and operational support.
- Preparation of Exam Rooms & Materials – Prepare exam rooms, seating plans, announcements, displays and all examination materials, ensuring papers are received, logged, secure and ready in good time.
- Access Arrangements & Documentation – Organise resources for students with access arrangements, prepare adapted papers, check attendance registers and ensure scripts and documentation are dispatched accurately and promptly.
- General Duties & Statutory Responsibilities – Carry out office and administrative tasks as required, while upholding safeguarding, equality, diversity, inclusion, health & safety and ongoing training responsibilities.
About You
- Qualifications & Core Skills – Maths and English at A*–C / Level 2, with at least five GCSEs and strong IT capability including databases, Excel and Word.
- Administrative & Data Experience – Experience handling confidential information, completing office‑based administrative tasks and accurately entering data into computerised systems.
- Customer Service & Inclusivity – Proven experience in a customer‑focused environment, consistently creating a welcoming atmosphere and working effectively with people from diverse backgrounds while promoting equality and diversity.
- Teamwork, Initiative & Organisation – Excellent organisational skills, ability to work both independently and within a team, meet deadlines, follow procedures and stay calm during high‑demand periods.
- Communication & Flexibility – Confident communicator face‑to‑face, by phone and in writing, with a flexible approach to working patterns and willingness to adapt as needed.
